Strictly An Update...

an update on our production of Strictly Ballroom….

Lots of work is going on behind the scenes in preparation for Strictly Ballroom which is on in January 2024 in The Story House theatre at Geelong Arts Centre.

Auditions are coming up in August and Alister, Phil and Ash will be looking for a large cast of actors, dancers and singers ranging across all ages. Once the cast is announced at the end of August we all have the opportunity to attend ballroom dance classes to be held on each Sunday afternoon in September. The classes are designed to give you an introduction to ballroom dance in a relaxed social environment.

Alister believes that Strictly Ballroom will be one of the biggest shows Footlight has undertaken and he will be casting people who can make a full commitment to the show.

Please keep this in mind when considering auditioning for other shows this year – overlapping of rehearsals and/or performances with Strictly Ballroom is not encouraged.So keep an eye out for the Strictly Ballroom Information Book in the first week of June for further details.
